Nikiwe Thole is the founder of Frontera Travel and Tours, a company born from her deep passion for travel and the Spanish language. Inspired by her father, who worked in the tourism industry for over 20 years, she launched her own travel agency at just 21 years old. At the time, she balanced an administrative role at an international school while managing her business on the side. After two years of dedication and growth, she made the bold decision to leave her job and fully commit to expanding Frontera Travel and Tours.
Her first group trips were with clients from Spain and Latin America, where she had the unique opportunity to showcase her Spanish skills. Many of her clients were impressed, as it is rare to find a Zambian fluent in Spanish. In 2024, she attended the World Travel Market in London, where she connected with key players in the global travel industry, further strengthening her network and business prospects.
As a young black female entrepreneur, Nikiwe is passionate about contributing to Zambia's tourism sector, driving economic growth, and creating employment opportunities for young people across the country. Through Frontera Travel and Tours, she continues to make an impact by promoting Zambia as a top travel destination while inspiring the next generation of tourism professionals.
